Launched in 2022 and composed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Encelade takes its name from the Greek myth of the giant buried beneath Sicily, said to still breathe through the fumes of Mount Etna. It opens with a striking rhubarb accord, sharp and earthy, blending with cedar to evoke sap and lush vegetation. This green woodiness collides with a heart of smoky, animalic leather, before settling into a base of vetiver, sandalwood, and tonka bean that softens the composition into something sensual and addictive. Quentin Bisch describes it as a study in paradox, powerful yet delicate, luminous yet dark.
